Judge’s Biography
The confirmed judge will be Gerard O’Shea, FCI
Born 1964 in Ireland, Gerard
acquired his first Rottweiler in 1980 and has since been actively involved in
the breed as well as being a Championship show judge since 1991.
· Long-time member of the Irish Rottweiler Club, serving as board member for 8 yrs and club Chairman for 4 yrs prior to moving to Sweden
· Irish Kennel Club Breed representative (ARD CHOMHAIRLE) for 3 yrs
· C.A.M. Breed representative campaigning against dangerous dogs act within Ireland, 1994
· Long-time member of the Swedish Rottweiler Club
· Long-time member of the Swedish Working Dog Club
· Long-time member and registered Kennel owner with the Swedish Kennel Club (FCI)
· Has judged in USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, England, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Finland, Norway, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia
Gerard has been a Rottweiler breeder for many years, having had the pleasure of owning and breeding numerous champion and title winning dogs in several European countries.
· Worked with the Swedish Military Dog Unit
· Owner of ‘YOUR DOG SWEDEN’, a company committed to educating people on how to judge and recognize a dog’s anatomy while moving and standing
· Educational Rottweiler workshops teaching theoretical and practical instruction on evaluating and understanding the Rottweiler. Gerard has taught these courses throughout Scandinavia, Europe, Australia, America and England
· Active in behavioural training and handling courses

RKNA CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM
To attain the RKNA Championship title, a dog must achieve 5 total points. Points
can be earned in the following ways:
- 1 point: V1 rating at any RKNA show
- 1 point: RKNA Best Male/Female
- 2 points: Ztp
- 2 points: VPG/IPO title
To attain the RKNA Elite Championship title, a dog must be a RKNA Champion and
achieve an additional five (5) Points. Points can be earned in the following
ways:
- 1 point RKNA Best or Most Beautiful in Show
- 1 point RKNA Kombi-Sieger/in
- 2 points RKNA Sieger/in or RKNA Klub Sieger/in
- 2 points RKNA Gekört.

Dogs eligible for Best Adult Male & Best Adult Female titles may come from the
Open, Champion, Working and Veteran classes. The winner of each class will
compete for Best Adult Male or Best Adult Female.

IMPORTANT SHOW INFORMATION
§ Dogs born in countries with anti-docking laws must be shown with a natural
tail.
§ Copies of required documentation for the Champion and Working Classes must be
submitted with entry and originals must be brought to the show and be available
for inspection before entering the ring.
§ Spayed or neutered dogs may not show with the exceptions of Stud Dog, Brood
Bitch, and Exhibition Classes.
§ Dogs with missing teeth will be excused from the ring
§ Males will be judged first
§ Dogs are shown in natural stance; no hand stacking is allowed. No food is
allowed in the ring; toys may be used at the judge’s discretion. Double handling
is encouraged.
§ Any entry that does not meet the Class requirement will be invalid.
§ The host club shall not permit entry into any class if an entered dog’s
original registration and support documents of all certifications,
accomplishments and titles are not available at the show for inspection at the
time of the class.
§ When a dog is eligible for more than one class, the dog’s owner determines the
entry.
§ This is a German style show
§ The event is being held outdoors, rain or shine
§ No dogs are allowed to be tied out at the show site or ringside
§ No dogs are allowed to be crated near the ring
§ Please use designated areas to exercise your dogs and clean up after them
§ Adult classes will be moved long enough for the judge to evaluate the movement
ENTRY FEES
Puppy (under 12 months)……………………………… $50.00 CAD
Youth & All Adult classes………………………………. $60.00 CAD
Remember to bring originals of your dog’s registration, hip certification (when
applicable) and support documents for all accomplishments to the show including
score book; they MUST be available for inspection at Check In.
In order to cross the US & Canadian border, you are required to present your
Passport & each dog’s valid Rabies certificate.
Closing date is
May 30, 2014 or when the show is full!

JUDGE’S DINNER
The club will be hosting a Judge’s Dinner in honor of our judge on
Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The dinner will be held at a local
restaurant called M.T. Bellies which is attached to the Knight’s Inn.

Puppy Classes
4-6 Month Male/Female; 6-9 Month Male/Female; 9-12 Month Male/Female
Youth Classes
12-18 Month Male/Female; 18-24 Month Male/Female
Adult Classes
Open Male/Female: For all Rottweilers 24 months and older without
a VPG/ IPO title or a Championship title.
Champion Male/Female: For all Rottweilers 24 months and older who
have earned a Sieger/Siegerin title, Championship title from AKC, CKC,
International FCI Champions and any Champion of Record.
Working Male/Female: For all Rottweilers 24 months and older with
a VPG/IPO title.
Veteran Male/Female: For all Rottweilers 8 years or older the day
of the show.
Brood Bitch: If not entered in regular class, must present 3 show
ratings showing full dentition and must have 2 progeny entered in
regular classes.
Stud Dog: If not entered in regular class, must present 3 show
ratings showing full dentition and must have 2 progeny entered in
regular classes.
Kennel Class: must have 3 progeny entered in regular classes.
Exhibition: Critique only class open to Rottweilers with a
disqualifying fault or who are spayed or neutered. No ratings are to be
awarded. Dogs critiqued, with fault noted, are for educational purposes.
If a dog is eligible for more than one class, the owner may determine
the class to enter in.
